How to Open Car Bonnet?

As mentioned earlier, it's a very easy task but tricky. To open the bonnet, First, you need to unlock the bonnet cover with a button. And the button is located below the dashboard under the steering wheel.

Sometimes the button is also placed at the corners of the lower part of the dashboard. After finding the button, you have to pull it and you will hear a big click sound which will unlock your car's bonnet.

The work is not done yet. If you try to raise the bonnet, it will stuck and you will not able to raise it. The car bonnet is still locked with a mechanical latch mechanism
This is the part where 99% of people are stuck. Currently, the bonnet is not open, the button just unlocks it. In order to open it, you need to open it by hand using your fingers.
What makes this part tricky is, that you have to open the latch mechanism even without seeing it. This means the whole mechanism is under the bonnet. You can't see it or you haven't watched it before. So, this part looks quite difficult. But once you understand the mechanism you can do it with any vehicle you want.

After unlocking the bonnet with a button you will notice the bonnet of your car has risen up a little. You will find little space to insert your fingers at front of the vehicle, just above the vehicle's company logo. All you need to do is just insert your finger there and try to move your finger from left to right or right to left. You will find the metal latch. Once your finger touches the metal lock, move it on either side Left or right whichever is suitable. As soon as you move the latch of the lock you have to lift the bonnet with another hand. And congrats! You have just opened the bonnet of your car.

Now after opening the bonnet

The most important task after opening the bonnet. You have to give support to remain in a state of an open position.
Just look at the extreme left or extreme right of your vehicle bonnet. You will see a thin metal stick. Lift the stick and attach/insert the metal stick to your vehicle bonnet's grove. That's all. 
Now, you have completely opened the bonne of the car. And your car is ready to get serviced or watched for some diagnosis-related work.
You can use this method to open the bonnet of almost any car, SUV, MUV, or automobile vehicle.

Safety to Follow Before Opening The Bonnet Of Any Car

Your safety is first and it can be ignored. As you are trying to open the hood of the vehicle that means you have planned to do some DIY work. So, before you open the hood of any vehicle be prepared with these safety measures.
  1. Make sure the engine of your car is not running and is in cool condition.
  2. While touching your vehicle or any mechanical part always use gloves.
  3. Make sure the vehicle's hand brake is in engaged condition.
  4. Make sure the vehicle is in gear in manual transmission and in parking mode in case of automatic transmission.
  5. Remove the keys from the ignition.
